Cavendish & Gloucester plc - developments of superior quality

Cavendish & Gloucester Plc has worked successfully in partnership with several Housing Associations, creating affordable housing, constructed to the same high standards that the group sets for its own private developments.

Working in close co-operation with Housing Association staff and their surveyors, Cavendish & Gloucester carefully manages the build process through its skilled in-house construction management team, and experienced building subcontractors.

With the group’s proven ability to tackle complex development projects and deal sympathetically with environmental and conservation issues, it is ideally placed to provide affordable housing on a wide variety of sites.

At Cavendish & Gloucester we take environmental and sustainability issues very seriously. We ensure our sites take part in the considerate constructors scheme. During demolition works we try and salvage hardcore and timber for reuse and, where possible, materials brought to site are sourced locally to keep our carbon footprint low. Our technical department keep abreast of new environmentally friendly resources, such as ground source heat pumps and use of solar energy, to ensure our buildings are both energy and cost efficient for our end users.

Cavendish & Gloucester’s current projects include the construction of two blocks of apartments within a three acre site at Barnet. These provide 34 1, 2, 3 & 4 bedroom homes, catering for families as well as individuals.

The group is actively acquiring development sites in the South East, and is raising investment funds to increase its capacity to respond to the need for reasonably priced private homes, and affordable social housing.

We will be seeking Housing Association partners to work alongside us in these forthcoming developments.
